Family-Owned Construction You Can Trust

A family-owned business built on strong relationships, shared values, and commitment to our communities.

A Whanau-Centred Business

Parata Ltd is a family-owned, community-focused business founded by Ma and Raewyn Parata. We operate across the Gisborne East Coast and Northland regions, delivering civil construction and maintenance solutions that combine modern practices with deep local knowledge.

Our journey began when Ma and Raewyn recognised the need for a locally-owned construction company that truly understood the regional challenges and opportunities of working on the East Coast.

From major highway remediation projects to ongoing road maintenance, we are committed to building Aotearoa New Zealand's future while strengthening the communities we serve.

The People Behind Our Success

Our team is our greatest asset. From experienced operators and machine drivers to skilled project managers and safety officers, every member of the Parata whanau plays a vital role in delivering quality outcomes.

We invest in our people through ongoing training, health and safety programmes, and career development pathways. Many of our team have been with us for years, building deep expertise in the unique challenges of working across the East Coast and Northland terrain.

We are also committed to creating employment opportunities within our local communities, targeting recruitment from youth, unemployed, and the wider community to build a skilled workforce for the future.

Giving Back to Our Hapori

Since our establishment, Parata has independently led several long-term community support initiatives, including sponsorship and traffic management for events. We are proud to have provided almost $65,000 in sponsorships to 24 different community organisations across various sports teams, schools, and local festivals. Through these sponsorships we increase a sense of whanaungatanga for our hapori and maximise the channels for targeting new recruits within the youth, unemployed, and wider community.
